Lobra "Rookies of the Year 2012"
In connection to Monday’s inauguration of Stockholm Fashion Week, fashion brand Lobra was announced “Rookies of the Year 2012” during a price cermony in Rookies Showroom.
In the selection to Rookies, the jury has judged the fashion degree, design quality, product quality and the business idea/commercialisation. In the nomination process of “Rookies of the Year 2012”, the jury has also evaluated the creative expression/process and the personality behind the brand. The five nominees were chosen by the Rookies jury in May. Other candidates to the award were the designers behind the brands Alice Fine, Johanna Pihl, Scho Collection and Stutterheim.
Motivation: The price ”Rookies of the year 2012” is assigned to a fearless ray of sunshine whose experience of the world is translated into stylish products with an exclusive touch. The jury welcomes more ”party” into Swedish fashion and with this designers festive ”splash of colour” products our prayers have been heard. We are convinced that she will take the lead when the Swedish fashion wonder is followed by this new shoe and accessory wonder. Rookies of the year 2012 is Louise Bramstedt, Lobra.
The price of ”Rookies of the year 2012” includes a scholarship of 20 000 SEK from Swedish Trade Federation Stil, the challenge prize ”Joy of Fashion” designed by Jeanette Karsten in collaboration with Målerås glassworks, and a dedicated retail space in two selected stores in Stockholm through the store ”The Casbah”. Rookies’ sponsor Digaloo gives a value check of 10 000 SEK to the winner for the
printing of lookbooks, they also give out value checks of 5 000 SEK to each of the four other nominees.
